Comfort is important when driving around London and when you’re stuck in traffic you start to take notice of the imperfections in your uniform, if it's cheap then in a short time it's going to start irritating you, I know this because I used to try to cut corners and buy cheap chauffeur hat's, after a short time I really regret it.
In the Long run you end up paying more for your chauffeur hats if you don't buy the professional hat you end up buying two or maybe three in a year. I have several chauffeur hats, one grey chauffeur hat and a black hat, I always ask my customers which one they prefer me to wear, most say the black and some just laugh, and say they don’t care, I think maybe I take my job to seriously.
